Description

Renewable Diesel, SAF Plant, Vacuum Residue Slurry Hydrocracking (VRSH). Unused and never installed and used as a cracking unit for traditional refinery operations. Plant was repurposed to produce Renewable Diesel (RD) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Using the original and unique high pressure (3,450 PSIG) design, unit has many advantages over standard RD / SAF designs. Those advantages include smaller vessel sizes, lower hydrogen consumption and best in class feedstock yield versus the standard design. Furthermore, the plant design allows for concurrent RD / SAF production or the ability to swing to maximum RD or maximum SAF production without any change in equipment or catalyst. All of the above noted advantages are enabled through the application of process technology from Axens, one of the top three RD / SAF licensors globally, and also proprietary feedstock pretreatment technology.
